Certification levels
There are two levels of certification for ECEUPM: Foundation and Advanced.

Recommended prerequisites
Foundation level
Basic knowledge of software tools usage is recommended.
At least some experience with process management or strong interest in this topic.
Advanced level
Strong interest in advanced topics, such as process analysis, simulation, enterprise architecture, BPM standards.
Completion of Foundation level (all learning elements).

Schedule
Online training is a six-week course, available from anywhere. Depending on your previous knowledge, you will have to invest 10–12 hours per module (Foundation level – 7 modules, Advanced level – 11 modules).

Technical requirements
E-learning
Any modern computer, tablet or smartphone is appropriate (for studying). The participant needs a web browser and internet connection. For assignment preparation, the Office software package (text editor and spreadsheet editor) and BPMN 2.0 process modelling tool (e.g. Aris Express, BPMN.IO or similar) is required. For tutor support, a headset is required.
The online study is activated the day after application and settling the invoice.
Online exam
Any computer (Windows, Mac) with a webcam, microphone and latest webcam drivers. Please check the minimum system requirements.

3. Access to online classroom
After payment, your e-learning account will be activated. You will also receive information on how to access learning materials and assignments.
When you complete the online course, a certificate of participation will be issued automatically.
4. Exam and certification
After you complete the course, you can apply for the external ECQA exam and certificate:
Exam
The examination is limited to two hours.
After the Foundation exam you will receive your ECQA certificate.
For the Advanced level exam you must successfully pass all units in the Foundation level exam (7 units).
What does a certificate mean?
After successful completion of the training and exam, you will receive an ECQA certificate. The exam proves you have a solid understanding of BPM and you are prepared to implement it in your organisation.
The certificate is issued by the independent EU body, ECQA (European Certification and Qualification Association).

5How much time do I need to dedicate to the course?
It depends on your background. On average, 10–12 hours are needed to finish one learning element (of a total of 11), slightly more if you decide to finish the practical assignments.
What kind of questions can I expect in the ECQA exam?
Examples of multiple-choice questions in each lesson give you a good insight into the exam questions.
Can I download and print the materials for later use?
Of course, the materials are available in PDF format too.
How long do I have access to the e-learning platform?
Six weeks after registration.
Is it possible to extend access after the expiry date?
Yes, extension of access is possible. The extension fee is 50€/month.
How does online mentoring work?
On demand. The participant prepares questions and issues, and informs the mentor. Afterwards, an online session (e.g. using Skype) is held.
